Dr. Rao is a prominent figure in encouraging chemical free natural farming methods based on Vedic agricultural techniques. He has a 35 years background in sustainable agriculture and while pursuing his PhD in plant breeding and genetics, he found his passion for preserving endangered plant species. Hariyalee Seeds is a family run farm which curates species of endangered and heirloom seeds from all over the world. Based out of Bengaluru, India it strives to keep species of vegetables alive for future generations to enjoy.

He has designed several sustainable architectural projects in the Far East, Africa and the Americas over the past 20 years. He is also consulted on several iconic projects in different parts of India including The Statue of Unity, Central Vista Re-development, New Parliament Building, Kashi Viswanath Temple Corridor to name a few.
